Best Practice for Event Banner Image

To make your event stand out, we strongly recommend uploading a banner/cover image to your event listing. This image appears on your public event page and should clearly represent your event.

Image Format/Size Requirements

  • Accepted formats: JPG or PNG
  • Maximum file size: 8 MB

Making Your Banner Look Its Best

Follow these guidelines to ensure your image displays correctly across all screen sizes:

  1. Set the aspect ratio to 5:3: This keeps your image properly proportioned
  2. Use a minimum resolution of 2000 × 1200 pixels: Higher resolution ensures your image appears sharp and professional
  3. Keep important content away from the edges: Place text, logos, and key visuals toward the center to avoid cropping on different devices.

Best Practices for Your Cover Image

To ensure your banner displays properly across different browsers and screen sizes, follow these recommendations:

1. Use a 5:3 Aspect Ratio

  • Your image should always follow a 5:3 ratio. This keeps your banner aligned with BoothCentral’s layout and prevents distortion or improper scaling.

2. Keep Important Information in the Center

  • Place key details — such as your event name, date, time, and location — toward the middle of the image ( Safe Zone ).
  • Depending on the viewer’s browser size or screen resolution, the outer edges of the banner may be partially cropped. Keeping essential content centered helps ensure nothing important is cut off.

The image should be at least:

  • Width: 750px
  • Height: 450px

Safe Zone: We recommend you keep important content (event name, date, time, etc.) within a Safe Zone so that the event details display on all resolutions and window sizes. Below is a sample image of an Event Banner with the important content kept within the middle.
