Paying With ACH Online on BoothCentral

What Is ACH Online?

The ACH Online feature allows you to pay directly from your US bank account instead of using a credit or debit card.

ACH Online payments on BoothCentral are securely processed through Stripe, our trusted payment processor.

If an event organizer has enabled the ACH Online feature, you'll see ACH Online as an available payment option when completing an eligible payment.

Note: ACH Online is available only for eligible US bank accounts and for events where the organizer has enabled this payment option.

Using ACH Online for the First Time

Before you can make your first ACH Online payment, you'll need to add and verify your US bank account in your BoothCentral profile.

If you select ACH Online before adding and verifying a bank account, you'll see the following message:

"To pay via ACH, first add and verify your bank account details (via Link or micro-deposits) in your Profile. Once that's done, return here to continue — your application progress has already been saved."

You can leave your application to set up your bank account. Your application progress is automatically saved, so you won't need to start your application over.

  1. Go to Your Profile.

Good to know: If you want to use a different bank account for an ACH Online payment, you'll need to add and verify the new bank account from Your Profile → Payment Methods first.

How Long Do ACH Online Payments Take?

ACH Online payments are not instant.

Once you authorize the payment, it must be processed through the ACH banking network. ACH payments typically take up to 4 business days to process.

Note: Weekends and US bank holidays are not considered business days and may extend the processing time.

Even if your bank account has already been verified and appears as an available payment method, the actual ACH payment still requires processing time.

What Happens While My Payment Is Processing?

After you authorize an ACH Online payment, Stripe submits the payment through the ACH banking network for processing.

During this time, your payment may continue to show as processing until the transaction is completed

Important: Authorizing an ACH Online payment does not mean your application has been approved. The event organizer is still responsible for reviewing your application and determining whether you are accepted into the event.

Can an ACH Online Payment Fail?

Yes. An ACH Online payment can still fail or be returned after it has been submitted.

Some common reasons include:

  • Insufficient funds
  • Incorrect bank account information
  • A closed bank account
  • The bank declining the payment
  • Payment authorization being revoked

If your ACH Online payment fails, you may need to submit your payment again or use another available payment method.

Why Don't I See the ACH Online Option?

ACH Online may not be available for every event.

If you don't see ACH Online as a payment option, the event organizer may not have enabled the feature for that event.

You can use another available payment method or contact the event organizer if you have questions about the payment options available for their event.
