Sharing a video with audio can be tricky. Follow these steps and hints for the best experience!

Prerequisites:

First, use Google Chrome on a PC or laptop. You cannot screen share from mobile devices.
If you are sharing a video that is on another site (like Vimeo or YouTube), make sure you have a solid Internet connection with plenty of bandwidth and a modern computer. Your computer will be downloading, decoding, then re-encoding and then sending that video up to be shared all at once!
Also, make sure you have the rights to share that video. Most commercial music videos are licensed and requires permissions to be reproduced in a live-stream. BoothCentral cannot be help responsible for any license infringements from your streams.

Preferred setup - use a local video. For the best experience, share a video that is on your local computer.

If you own the video and it's on YouTube or Vimeo, download it from YouTube or Vimeo and choose the 720P or lower option. Anything higher will make your computer work much harder resulting in a poorer stream.
The video should be in MP4 format, or a format that can be played directly in a Google Chrome browser tab. If you are unsure, simply drag the video into Google Chrome and see if it will play.
If you have a second monitor, put the Chrome tab by itself in that monitor and then go Full Screen with the video. This not only makes it less confusing for you, but it offers better performance.
